Melodica NV is my first electroacoustic work using MAX/MSP. My goal was to expand the expressive possibilities of the melodica by using live processing to circumvent the instrument’s inherent limitations, especially its fixed pitch and the generally monophonic and homophonic textures to which it is constrained.
