A brand new work for saxophone and percussion commissioned by Musiqa will be premiered at this exciting outdoor concert in one of Houston’s most popular public spaces. You can park your car at Hermann Park earlier in the afternoon and ride the light rail downtown (see the other November 8 event above)!

Imaginary Spaces will get a repeat performance, this time on Houston’s METRORail!  The performance begins at the Hermann Park METRORail station and makes various stops along the way before ending at Market Square (just in time for an early dinner before the Musiqa concert begins!). The work is supported by The Aaron Copland Fund for Music.

Impact will receive its world premiere by the Mexican National Symphony Orchestra at the 36th Foro Internacional de Música Nueva in Mexico City (May-June). The concert will take place in the Palacio de Bellas Artes.
